Are you ready for a Self-Assessment Test that's fun and amazingly accurate? Click the icon to download a copy of Brain Works here!

This is just something we think is fun, amazing and accurate.  Download or run the file.

Option A / Brainworks Test:

Downloadable Brainworks 'brain.exe' Test Option:

Again, this option is best for older operating systems like Windows XP, but will not work with newer 64-bit systems.

Click and open the file linked below to run the program, or save it to your computer if you like and then open it.

After opening the test file (brain.exe), follow the directions and complete the test.

After completing the test, the program will show you a diagram of the left and right hemispheres of the brain and indicate your left - right preference, as well as your auditory - visual preference.  Be sure to write down your percentage scores for each.

Click the 'Personal Evaluation' box to read a detailed description of your brain style and how it affects your daily life.  Keep in mind, this is usually a two page document and you will likely need to click the "next" box to read the second page of your analysis.

It is strongly recommended that you print both pages of your 'Personal Evaluation' for future reference in completing the lab write-up questions below.

Optional But Very Interesting:  If you wish, you can go back through each question of your test and the program will explain what your answer to each question means and what the alternative answers mean as well.

Website-based Brainworks Test Option:

Access the Brainworks test on the Mindmedia site (link below).

The webpage on which the test is housed contains lots of unrelated information.  Keep focused on the center of the page and start by entering your name in the box near this logo then click 'Enter.'

NOTE:  You do not need to enter your email address in order to take the test (unless you wish to receive info from mindmedia.com).

After entering your name and clicking 'enter,' click the 'Please click here to continue' link in the center of the page and you see the first of 20 questions.

After completing the last question, you'll see your scores for left vs. right and auditory vs. visual preferences.  Be sure to write down your percentage scores (or copy / paste them into a document for future reference).

Next, click the 'View Summary' link below the percentage scores to access your cognitive style evaluation.  It is strongly recommended that you either print ---- or--  copy, paste and save your personal evaluation in a document for future reference in completing the lab write-up questions below.

Optional But Very Interesting:  If you wish, you can go back through each question of your test and the program will explain what your answer to each question means and what the alternative answers mean as well.  In order to see each question, your answer, and an explanation of each answer, click the 'back' button on your web browser then click the 'View the Questions' link in the center of the page.  You will see an explanation of each question.  Your chosen answer for each item will be highlighted.

Click here to access the website-based version of the Brainworks test.

A Note of Thanks:  The Brain Works software is brought to you courtesy of the fine folks at Mindmedia / Synergistic Learning, Inc.  If you wish, please feel free to visit their site for many other self assessment products which may be purchased through the site.
